Serving in Parish Ministry

The are numerous opportunities to respond to God's call of stewardship in Resurrection of Our Lord Parish. All those involved in parish ministry, be they employees or volunteers, are required to complete the Archdiocesan mandated Safe Environment Training. This training is provided through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia at various sites during the course of the year. The training session is about two and a half hours long and must be completed by new employees and volunteers within their first year of service at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, unless they have received the training during the course of volunteering or employment elsewhere within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
All parish employees and volunteers are required to adhere to the Archdiocesan Standards of Ministerial Behavior and Boundaries. In addition, all parish employees and volunteers are required to obtain a Pennsylvania State Policy Background Check and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance. The parish covers the expense associated with these background checks. These must be renewed every five years by all those currently in active ministry or employment.
For more information about the location of current training sites, or to obtain copies of the forms required for backgrounds checks, please contact our parish business manager or the Archdiocesan Office for Child and Youth Protection.
